Who we are

Ivhu means soil in Shona. The name stems from how all life finds its sustenance from the soil.

The company was founded in 2019, with the aim of empowering and promoting the growth and self-sustenance of businesses in Africa through innovative socio-economic solutions. The company offers transaction advisory and enterprise development support.

Ivhu Advisors offers a shift in the traditional approach to transaction services, by applying golden thread solutions from pre-investment analysis to post-investment monitoring which tackle both economic and social objectives. We are committed to the growth of African businesses with the aim of stimulating intra-African trade and economic development.

  • We provide independent, objective advice to the client to help determine the right purchase or sell price of a business and/or shares
  • We provide independent valuation support to assist clients in analysing investment or divestment opportunities or in supporting dispute resolution
  • In the case of investments, our work takes into account the synergies expected post-transaction

Financial Due Diligences

  • We perform investment and financial analysis on the business which assesses the key deal issues facing the business and the drivers behind maintainable earnings and cash flows
  • Our analysis identifies the key financial risks and potential deal breakers of the transaction
  • We also assess the plausibility of the projections which are used in the valuation to determine purchase price

Business Development Support

  • We provide support to entrepreneurs who want to grow their businesses or get their businesses investor ready
  • An initial needs analysis is performed to understand the business’s financial and operational challenges and a plan is put in place to provide ongoing support

Capital Raising and Debt Advisory

  • We provide a broad spectrum of services from analysing debt restructuring, advising on the optimal capital structure options, identifying suitable funders and preparing proposals, through to negotiating and implementing those solutions with all relevant stakeholders
  • Financial modelling of the suitability of the capital structure
